Scott Villamor, benefits consultant with Leavitt Group Benefits Services in Las Vegas, was recently recognized by Business Insurance magazine, a national insurance publication, as a “40 under 40 Regional Broker Leader.” Villamor is one of only ten to receive the honor in the Western Region. This award recognizes leadership, service, and experience in insurance brokers.
“I’m pleased Scott is being recognized for his hard work and innovation,” said Dave Johnson, vice president of Leavitt Group Benefits Services. “His insight makes those needing help in this stormy benefits environment feel very calm to know they will be protected in the future.”
Villamor serves as an extension of his clients’ businesses. “Scott is ever mindful of our need to do more with less, and he has demonstrated his commitment to this need through his actions as well as his words. He draws on his inner entrepreneurial spirit to help us address and overcome challenges big and small,” said Adam Wood, controller for TLC Care Center—a client of Villamor—in a recommendation for the award.
“Scott is an outstanding broker. His prompt response and positivity is hard to find. I appreciate his willingness to go above and beyond in every situation,” said Kristen J. Bowen, human resources for Wallace Morris Kline Surveying, LLC—another client of Villamor’s—in a recommendation for the award.
Villamor has worked as a licensed health and life agent for over nine years with both national and regional insurance brokerages. He services a wide range of companies and has experience with both fully-insured and self-funded plans. Villamor focuses on helping businesses contain the rising costs of insurance as well as helping employees understand and utilize their benefits effectively. He is formally trained and experienced in human resources, payroll, professional employer organizations (PEOs), and Affordable Care Act compliance.
