Leavitt Group is pleased to announce that Gwen Schiff has joined the agency and will coordinate the stop loss procurement, placement, and claims oversight for partially self-funded clients. Schiff has 30 years in the insurance industry with an emphasis on health benefits and self-funded plans.
“In this new era of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Gwen’s contributions to our work on behalf of our clients couldn’t be more important,” said Jim Edwards, partner at Leavitt Great West. “More and more employers, many with fewer than 100 employees, are looking at self-funding financing options. Having the experience that Gwen brings allows our clients to know they have real experience in their corner.”
Prior to joining the agency, Schiff spent fifteen years as a stop loss coordinator. She has assisted members in obtaining care via early case management intervention and reduced clients’ costs with alternative care options with approval under their stop loss contracts. Schiff has worked with numerous carriers and managing general underwriters over the years.
Leavitt Great West Insurance Services, a Leavitt Group agency, is part of one of the largest privately-held insurance brokerages in the nation. Leavitt Group’s Great West offices were formed when Taylor-Leavitt Insurance Agency, Northern Montana Insurance Services, and Mountain West Benefits merged in 2014.
