Leavitt Group Welcomes David Bashford

The Leavitt Group, the 2nd largest privately-held brokerage in the nation, is pleased to announce David Bashford as the new president and managing principal of their Salt Lake City office (formerly Grant-Hatch & Associates).  Salt Lake City, along with the Leavitt Group’s Atlanta, Las Vegas, and six California offices have combined capabilities to provide exceptional service, experience, and resources to their large, corporate clients. These agencies will collectively re-brand as the Leavitt Group.

With over twenty years in the insurance industry, Bashford has experience in property and casualty, employee benefits, and retirement plans, with an emphasis on large and middle market accounts.  Bashford’s responsibilities have included defining and executing the strategic plan, day-to-day operations, working with prospective and existing clients, recruiting and developing producers, and managing legal matters.

Prior to joining the Leavitt Group, Bashford worked as the chief operating officer and general counsel for Van Gilder, a large commercial insurance and employee benefit broker in the Rocky Mountain region.  Bashford received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and Juris Doctor from the University of Denver.
