The Leavitt Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Grandy to vice president in their Sacramento location. Grandy’s responsibilities now include the design and implementation of insurance and risk solutions for commercial, property and casualty, and workers’ compensation insurance clients.
“It is a pleasure to recognize Mary’s accomplishments as an insurance professional with this promotion,” said Tom McCready, director of the Leavitt Group’s Sacramento office.
Grandy, who joined the Leavitt Group in 2003, has focused on hard to place risks, unique coverage, and organizations with poor claims history. She has also worked as a property casualty claims advocate, and her knowledge and experience earned her a seat on several carrier claims councils, including chair of the AIG Claims Council.
“Ensuring proper coverage, aggressive claims handling, and cost effective pricing is all part of the Leavitt Group culture that I consider a personal mission,” said Grandy. “It is by being a partner and resource, and more than just a broker, which creates the greatest impact in our customers over all program and bottom line.”
Grandy began in the insurance industry in 1995 while working as a claims adjuster for two major insurance companies. She actively participates in multiple industry associations and organizations such as the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), Region Builders, and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
