Starley-Leavitt Insurance Agency partnered with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company to donate $5,000 to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue during a recent public event. “The funds from this check are going to go specifically for repelling equipment,” said Lieutenant Daron Brown from the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office. The ropes for repelling, which need to be replaced often, are some of the most expensive pieces of equipment the department has to purchase.
The grant is part of a nationwide philanthropic program funded by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, providing needed equipment, training, and educational tools to local fire departments and burn prevention organizations. Since 2004, Fireman’s Fund has awarded grants to more than 1,800 different organizations totaling more than $29 million. Independent insurance agencies and brokers that sell Fireman’s Fund products, like the Leavitt Group, are able to direct these grants to support the fire service.
Through this program, the Leavitt Group has directed over $188,000 in grants to fire departments nationwide.
