It’s that special time of year again, but for many Whitney Elementary School students that are homeless, it is just a reminder that they are without food, good clothes and even a home.
To help lighten the load on these students, Leavitt Group Benefits Services donated food to be assembled into food bags for children at Whitney Elementary School to bring home on weekends. In addition, Leavitt Group Benefits Services employees brought more than 100 pizzas so each class could throw a pizza party on Monday, December 8.
“This holiday season we wanted to reach out and help those in our community that can’t help themselves. With many homeless students, Whitney Elementary School has gone to great lengths to provide comfort, safety, love, reassurance and a hug when needed. We just felt it was the least we could do,” said Dave Johnson, Leavitt Group Benefits Services Co-Owner.
