Heavin, Otto & Leavitt is pleased to announce that Melanie Fugate has joined the agency as a benefits consultant. She focuses on total plan management, including controlling costs, compliance support, benefits administration, advocacy and consumerism, and employee engagement.
“I’m excited to join Heavin, Otto & Leavitt and to provide more than just insurance products to my clients,” said Fugate. “I look at a business as a whole and take a consultative approach when implementing an employee benefits package.”
Prior to joining the agency, Fugate worked as an ACA consultant, an employee benefits producer, and a department manager. She earned the Affordable Care Act (ACA) certification and Small Group Specialist (SGS) designation. Melanie served on the board of the local chapter of the Underwriters Association.
