The Office of Consumer Health Services recently recognized Gabriela Benitez, health exchange director for GBS Benefits, Inc., for her contribution to the Utah Health Exchange by showcasing her as “Broker of the Month”.
“The Utah Health Exchange provides GBS Benefits, Inc. the opportunity to explore additional health insurance options for our clients and we are proud to partner with the state of Utah in supporting this new and innovating system for Utah employers,” said Diane Fullerton, GBS Benefits, Inc. chief operation officer.
Benitez has over 12 years of health care experience. Prior to GBS Benefits she worked with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah where she dedicated nine years in Sales and Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Support, and Contracts and Compliance; she also worked as a Translator, and as a Television Spokesperson. Gabriela was instrumental in the Regence BlueCross BlueShield emerging market development and implementation, and her team efforts were recognized by the National BlueCross BlueShield Association.
In 2008, The Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognized Gabriela for her achievements and outstanding efforts by awarding her the Business in Excellence Person of the Year.
