Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance Agency is pleased to announce that Kyle Nielsen and Kelley Shewmaker have joined their agency in Reno. Nielsen is a sales executive focusing on restaurants, retail, construction, and auto repair. Shewmaker is a property and casualty agent with 20 years of insurance experience.
“I’m excited to join Leavitt Group,” said Shewmaker. “The resources available to me in this new endeavor give my clients greater insurance markets to meet their needs.”
Prior to insurance, Nielsen worked operating a golf resort and ski area in northern California. He volunteers with Sierra Nevada Community Sailing and participates in the active growth of junior golf in the area. Nielsen earned a degree from Sonoma State University.
Shewmaker began his insurance career in Sacramento, California. After leaving Sacramento for Reno, he worked with California Insurance Group (CIG) as both a personal lines underwriter, then a commercial lines underwriter. Following CIG, he became a captive co-agent for Church Mutual and focused on church insurance. Shewmaker graduated from the University of San Francisco and then earned an MBA at Morrison University in Reno, Nevada.
