Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter to be Awarded $5,000 from InsuranceHub through Liberty Mutual Insurance Company® and Safeco Insurance® “2022 Make More Happen™ Awards”
Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance are pleased to announce that InsuranceHub, a Leavitt Group agency, has earned a 2022 Make More Happen Award, which recognizes its exceptional volunteerism with Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, and commitment to making a positive community impact. The award includes an initial $5,000 donation with a chance to double the amount to $10,000 that will directly benefit Home of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and their young moms move from homeless, to hopeful, to a home of their own.
The story of InsuranceHub and Home of Hope is currently being spotlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at www.agentgiving.com/InsuranceHub where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives at least 500 votes— shares to social media and comments on their story—the donation will be increased to $10,000.

Entering their eighth year of support, InsuranceHub created an annual Sip & Swine BBQ Festival that generates crowds of up to 30,000 attendees. The agency volunteers their time to organize the two-day event and coordinates all entertainment aspects from live music to a BBQ tasting, vendor sponsorships, and more. Over the last seven years, the community has raised over $742,000 for Home of Hope from this festival. The next festival will be hosted March 3-4, 2023, at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA. For full event details, visit sipandswine.com. Additionally, each of the agency’s departments has sponsored six families during the holiday season for the last four years.
“Home of Hope has a multigenerational approach to ending the cycle of homelessness for children and their young mothers, and InsuranceHub Leavitt Agency is proud to be a part of this forward-thinking, community change,” said Jim Llyod, CEO for InsuranceHub Leavitt Agency. “We are forever grateful to receive this Make More Happen Award from Liberty Mutual and Safeco to provide Home of Hope with much needed funds to continue their impactful work.”
The potential $10,000 will allow Home of Hope to continue their mission of providing housing, food, clothing, and other critical services to each family staying on their 40-acre campus. The funds will also go towards child advocacy, childcare services, and case management.
“It warms our hearts to see the endless dedication our agents have for their nonprofit partners through their volunteering, fundraising, and overall awareness efforts,” said Blythe Millwood, Safeco Insurance Southeast Region Senior Territory Manager. “The Make More Happen Awards allow our agents to make an even greater impact in Lawrenceville, and we hope it motivates others to do the same.”
Throughout 2022, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $370,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application and photos demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit.
