Van Nostran Young & Associates is pleased to announce their affiliation with Leavitt Group. The agency will be changing their name to Van Nostran Young Coutts to fully represent the collective agency and their recent acquisition of Coutts Insurance.
Doug Van Nostran founded Van Nostran Young & Associates in 1979 with a vision of providing insurance solutions that meet the true needs of customers without influence from insurance companies. Since then the agency has grown to 17 employees, primarily located in their North Canton, Ohio, office. In 2021 Van Nostran Young & Associates merged with Coutts Insurance, a very like-minded agency also located in North Canton.
Coutts Insurance was founded by Peter D. Coutts with the philosophy, “Just take care of the customers and everything else will take care of itself.” Peter’s son, Doug Coutts, still runs the entire firm by that philosophy to this day.

What Leavitt brings to the table is a game changer for us,” shared Will Van Nostran. With such aligned values between their agency and Leavitt Group overall, this affiliation decision made so much sense to Van Nostran, agency co-owner.
All current contact information, locations, and staff will remain the same for the Van Nostran Young & Associates team. However, the Coutts Insurance team has officially moved into the Van Nostran office located at 3205 Bretton Street NW, in North Canton, Ohio, so their address and contact numbers are changing.
