Phoenix-Based GBS Arizona, a Leavitt Group employee benefits advisory firm affiliate, welcomes Shelli Maggio from Mercer Health & Benefits, bringing 25+ years of experience to the role.
GBS Arizona is thrilled to announce the most recent addition to their Phoenix-based benefits advisory team. Shelli Maggio will be joining GBS Arizona in July 2022 as a principal consultant. For the last eight years, Shelli was with Mercer Health & Benefits in their Phoenix office as a principal senior consultant. In total, she has over 25 years of consulting experience, including time spent on the employer side of the industry — managing HR and employee benefits in various leadership roles.
Her vast experience and education bring a great deal of value and knowledge to GBS Arizona. Shelli earned a master’s degree in organizational management with a concentration in human resources from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in exercise science with a concentration in corporate wellness from Arizona State University. She also holds several professional designations that bring a greater level of expertise to employee benefits, including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
When asked about her decision to join the GBS team, Shelli stated, “My goal was to find a company with a mission I believe in, a strong employee-centered culture, and an opportunity to grow and evolve.
