208 Benefits, with two locations in Idaho, has been acquired by GBS Benefits, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. GBS Benefits is an affiliate of the national brokerage firm Leavitt Group.
208 Benefits was established in 2015 and creates and manages employee benefits packages based on equal parts value and affordability for small to medium-sized businesses. They have office locations in Boise and McCall and specialize in creating, educating, and managing employee benefit plans for businesses in Idaho.
GBS Benefits was founded in 1989 and affiliated with Leavitt Group in 2007. Their business is a full-service insurance and employee benefits firm that serves nearly 2,000 local and national companies, school districts, associations, and government entities. GBS Benefits is led by Dan Nelson and has several office locations in Utah as well as office locations in Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, and Nevada with nearly 200 employees.
