There are numerous taxes, fees and penalties under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The purpose of these various assessments generally is to raise revenue to fund the expansion of health coverage under the ACA, but also in come cases to penalize employers, individuals or entities that do not comply with specific provisions of the ACA. This matrix lists and explains most of the assessments under the ACA that are effective in 2012 and subsequent years.
