Shifflet Brothers is a trucking company primarily transporting utility poles for PG&E. Adam Terpstra from Leavitt United in California brought Shifflet Brothers to Legacy in March 2018. Adam has placed accounts in other captives, so he knew the high standards of loss control that a captive expects. A loss control analysis was completed, and Shifflet scored the highest in Legacy at over 90%.
Because Shifflet Brothers has been a pillar of safety in their community and among their partners, they were invited by PG&E to speak at their annual safety summit in October. Shifflet’s presentation included a discussion on what they have implemented and resources, such as Succeed, that they use to support an effective safety culture. They also focused on safety practices and certifications that have made their team successful.
Shifflet Brothers was founded in 1993 and has been in the trucking business since 1965. Their drivers have more than 10 years of experience and must have a minimum of two years of safe driving experience. Shifflet Brothers has a very strong family atmosphere and they take pride in what they do.
