“Taking time to live life will only inspire your work.”
Despite the love you may have for your job, “giving your brain a break” may be the best way to renew your productivity when things start to taper.
In the CNN article “Why Your Brain Needs Vacations,” Mary Kole shares how “the power of a vacation [can] help gain insights, appreciate the present moment and return to ‘real life’ with a renewed sense of excitement.”
Adding to Kole’s thoughts, Adam Galinsky at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University also agrees that “not just taking time off from work, but actually getting away from where you live is really important, because that’s the only way that you can achieve…perspective.”
So if you are feeling a bit distant from your work, do your brain a favor by taking some time to carry out a mindful vacation.
