Nevada’s Commissioner of Insurance, Alice A. Molasky-Arman, recently appointed Wade Leavitt to Nevada’s Department of Insurance (DOI). Wade will serve as a member of the Commissioner’s Property and Casualty Advisory Committee.
In addition to this new appointment, Wade will continue to serve on the Nevada Surplus Lines Association Board and the Big I Board. Wade has served on past committees with the Nevada Commissioner and has dealt with several state insurance issues, such as Nevada’s Countersignature Law and construction defect.
Wade became a co-owner of Leavitt Insurance Agency in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1985. Dixie and Bert Leavitt formed Leavitt Insurance Agency (LIA) in 1959. LIA is now the largest independent insurance agency in Las Vegas. In 2000, LIA was voted Best of Las Vegas for its financial services.
