Heather Garbers, a voluntary benefits executive with Leavitt Group’s Salt Lake City office, GBS Benefits Inc., was recently named to the Voluntary Benefits Association’s advisory board. Garbers is a voluntary plan professional and works in partnership with a team of health care consultants to enhance existing clients’ benefit packages.
“Voluntary Benefits Association is the leader in our industry for promoting education, implementation, and enrollment of voluntary benefits in the workplace,” said Garbers. “I am excited to participate on this board of true professionals.”
Garbers experience with voluntary benefits ranges from product strategy, carrier selection, enrollment, and administration. She is Life and Health insurance licensed, has earned the designation of a Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist (CVBS), and is Long-Term Care certified. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree and Finance minor.
The Voluntary Benefits Association is a national non-profit trade association focused on Voluntary Benefits for employer groups and affinity groups.
