For the past ten years, GBS Benefits employees have made it a tradition to visit Title I elementary schools, those receiving financial assistance due to high percentages of children from low-income families, in the Salt Lake Valley. GBS Benefits employees go into each classroom and play holiday bingo and have the children frost and decorate a cookie.
“As these schools typically don’t have a PTA or room mothers, the children don’t have the opportunity for classroom parties during the holidays,” said Diane Fullerton, chief operating officer of GBS Benefits. “We have many school districts as clients, so we see this as an opportunity to give back and to involve our employees.”
