Rough Notes and The National Alliance recently spotlighted the 25 most innovative agents in America, with Leavitt Group Enterprises Dixie Leavitt among the honorees. The article, published in the October 2004 edition of Rough Notes, emphasizes that each agent was selected because they “broke new ground, made the most out of seemingly impossible situations, and distinguished themselves in a variety of creative ways.”
Each candidate was selected for their exceptional performance in the industry. The journal focused on agents` ability to develop a unique market or niche or to create an innovative agency structure or methodology; their leadership in education or associations; their service in the community and on insurer committees; their being on the cutting edge of technology; their entrepreneurial spirit; and their superior relationship-building skills.
The journal highlighted Dixie for the creation of LGAA and for assuring each agency acquired by the Leavitt Group a 40% stake in the business.
Dixie Leavitt is the founder of the Leavitt Group. He started selling insurance in 1952, and by the end of the decade, he had thousands of clients throughout southwestern Utah and southern Nevada. His small start caught momentum and eventually developed into the Leavitt Group, an organization of over seventy agencies across the United States. Today, the Leavitt Group writes over $550M in premium and was recently named the 27th largest independent insurance agency in the nation by Business Insurance.
