It’s winter, which means the dreaded cold and flu season is upon us. While their symptoms are hard to differentiate, influenza can be much more dangerous than the common cold. Between October 1, 2017 and January 6, 2018, a total of 6,486 flu-related hospitalizations were reported in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
