Overtime Rule Blocked by Federal Court

The new overtime rule that was set to take effect on December 1, 2016 has been halted. A preliminary injunction was issued against the rule by a federal judge in Texas on November 22, 2016. While an appeal of the ruling is possible, for the time being the new overtime rule is on hold.
