Benefits Account Executive—Santa Barbara, CA

The Leavitt Group is seeking an experienced Benefits Account Executive for their busy office in Santa Barbara.

In this position, you will be supporting the Producers in the administration, renewal, and service of client Benefit Plans. The position requires prior benefits account management experience and the ability to be customer facing, answer clients questions about their benefits.

  • Assist Benefit Producers in development of benefit plans
  • Review contracts, prepare documents, and maintain client files in AMS 360
  • Handle all benefit related client service and administration issues
  • In this position, you will address clients questions on Healthcare Reform
  • Deliver renewals
  • Maintain positive relationships and excellent communication with clients.
  • Serve as primary contact for client and respond to client’s needs
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients to ensure that clients’ unique needs are met
  • Understand, manage and regularly visit client’s objectives
  • Organize, assist with and conduct client presentations
  • Oversee account information and document communication in agency management system
  • Maintain paper & electronic files
  • Select markets in conjunction with marketing staff
  • Answer client questions and help solve coverage related problems
  • Provide a high level of consultative services, including risk identification and analysis
  • Manage house accounts with no producer involvement
  • Independently manage clients expectations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Additionally you will support management of current client base and new business activities

Required Items

  • Health & Life license
  • 5-7 years employee benefits experience
  • Conversant with the Affordable Care Act
  • Client facing experience
