Matt Muirhead Selected as District Manager of UABT

Matt Muirhead, of Leavitt Central Coast Insurance Services, was recently selected as the district manager for United Agriculture Benefit Trust (UABT). Muirhead has partnered with UABT for over 15 years, and as district manager he will be better suited to help clients navigate options, manage rising costs, meet compliance requirements, and implement a highly successful benefits program.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt for the last 12 years and have seen first-hand the personal and hands on approach he uses when working with his clients,” said Jack Starke, managing principal. “He has a passion for health and safety programs and is able to provide his clients with valuable, tangible tools to reduce their costs and exposures.”

Muirhead has 28 years of insurance and risk management experience. He has successfully designed and implemented programs and strategies that have increased employers’ profits and improved employee productivity. He has developed and manages a number of statewide insurance programs centered in agribusiness.

Scott Rogers Earns CIC

Scott Rogers of Taylor-Leavitt Insurance Agency has earned the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Having earned this designation signifies a higher professional level of experience and competence. Scott has also previously earned the CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) and CHMM (Certified Hazardous Material Manager) designations.

Laurice Bishop Earns API Designation

Laurice Bishop of Taylor-Leavitt Insurance Agency recently earned the Associate in Personal Lines Insurance (API) designation. With this designation she gained a thorough understanding of the personal lines business. She has previously earned the CPIW, CISR, and AINS designations. Laurice is a personal lines account manager and has been with the agency for 17 years.

Leavitt Recreation & Hospitality Announce Fireman’s Fund Grant

In association with Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, Leavitt Recreation and Hospitality Insurance (LRHI) is proud to announce a special program that will award $5,000 to a nominated fire department. Nominations must be submitted by a RV park or campground no later than December 24, 2010.

RV park and campground owners can help make their community a safer place to live, work, and play by nominating their local fire department at http://www.lrhinsurance.com/FireDept/. Nominated fire departments will be entered into a random drawing and the winner can use the grant for needed equipment, firefighter training, and community education programs.

“This grant is a great way to get involved with your local volunteer fire department,” said Jimmy Tumblin, vice president of LRHI. “In today’s world an extra $5,000 goes a long way.”
