Leavitt Group Welcomes Ken Blaich

The Leavitt Group’s Woodland Hills office is pleased to announce that Ken Blaich, CIC, has joined the agency as Vice President of Commercial Insurance.

Blaich brings 22 years of experience to the agency placing and servicing commercial insurance for small to mid-sized businesses including workers compensation insurance, commercial property and casualty insurance, commercial auto insurance, professional liability insurance, employment practices liability insurance, and environmental liability insurance. His professionalism and extraordinary client care is evidenced by his high degree of long-term client retention. Blaich has experience in insuring businesses with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to $50 million. As a specialist in workers compensation, Blaich’s experience and knowledge are invaluable assets to his clients, colleagues, and associates.

Former Head of HRH of San Diego Joins Leavitt Group:

Leavitt Insurance Agency of San Diego is pleased to announce that Thomas A. James will join the agency as President and Andrew James will join the agency as a Broker.

Most recently with the Willis Group, Tom brings over 30 years of insurance brokerage and agency management experience. Tom acted as President of the San Diego office of Hilb, Rogal, and Hobbs (HRH), prior to its acquisition by the Willis Group. Tom built his experience in agency management and marketing as President and owner of Timothy S. Mills Insurance Services before being sold to The Hobbs Group in 1999.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and holds designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Certified Insurance Counselor. His areas of specialization include construction, real estate development, property management, non-profits, and production and event services.

The agency is also pleased to welcome Andrew James. Most recently with the Willis Group, Andrew comes to Leavitt Insurance Agency of San Diego with eight years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to that, Andrew served as a producer for HRH, a national insurance brokerage firm.

Andrew is a graduate of the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary and the University of San Diego School of Law. His areas of specialization include real estate, property management, life science, technology, and professional liability exposures.
